Rock and Roll

My position is looking a bit ugly at the moment!

Time for an intervention.

Images care of fyxomatosis!

What's wrong with your position? It looks OK to me. If you are flexible, you could maybe get a little lower. Apart from that, fine. Post some side on shots if you want.

10cm of h/b spacers should fix you right up Timboy.

That and losing ten kilos.

I'm going to John Beasley next friday to sort out a pursuit position which should be good.

He'll sort it out

Easy: Low. Low. Low. And forward if you have to do that to get low.

Try to get the slope from your greater trochanter (knobbly bit on hip) to your acromion process (knobbly bit on shoulder) between 0 and 10%, with a straight back. Then set your aero bars so you have your forearms parallel with the ground and each other, elbows in line with your knees. And try to make it so it's moderately comfortable.

I have a really, really good slide presentation on pursuit preparation prepared by an exercise physiologist PhD. With the road racing you are coming off and the length of time between now and the important pursuit races, I wanna say, it's looking good for you.

I know where you live anon.

The answer is to move the saddle back a bit so I don't have that mad-guts-crunched-up-into-a-ball-look.

Stretch out my back, without upping the height of the saddle and causing excess pressure in the ye-ha region.
