Platten used a stylised logo of his head (+ mullet) in his pub's advertising guff. I spent the second half of the 80's protesting against it's fashion sense. As a Goth.
Yeah- I remember the Prince Alfred's opposite Melbourne Uni had a Platten head floating around somewhere. Goths loved the hairspray just as much as the jocks...Echo and the BunnymenJesus and MarychainRobert SmithSisters of Mercyetc etc
